Robert W. Engel, Jr., DVM

“Doc” received his BS in microbiology in 1978 and his DVM from the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. After graduating from vet school, he worked in Live Oak, Florida before moving to Jacksonville to practice in 1985. In his spare time, “Doc” is an avid cyclist and accomplished amateur woodworker.

Marjena BassAssistant & Vet Tech

Marjena Bass has been Dr. Engel’s assistant and vet tech since the clinic opened in 1993. She breeds Boston Terriers and Great Danes and loves horses.

Georgeann EngelOffice Manager

Georgeann is the office manager for Baldwin Animal Clinic. For many years she was a “behind the scenes worker” but has recently joined Doc and Marjena in the clinic. She received her accounting degree from the University of North Florida in 1988 and passed the CPA exam in 1989. Georgeann and Doc have been married since 1985 and like Doc, she is an avid cyclist.
